What we do
Conservation and Restoration
We begin conservation of a work by sitting down with our clients to learn the history of the piece, its meaning to them, and the conditions in which it will be displayed or stored. We then perform an in-depth examination of the piece itself. Based on the interview and our evaluation, we produce a condition report and treatment plan that details the specifics of the work, any damage sustained, and recommendations for its restoration and care.
Upon receiving permission from the client to proceed, we begin the physical processes of conservation and restoration, either in our laboratory or onsite.

Lacey VanderJagt
Director of Conservation
Lacey VanderJagt has spent the last decade conserving artworks in the US, Europe, North Africa, and Asia. Her capabilities encompass paintings, works on paper, books, textiles, 3D objects, and furniture, and she has developed a specialty in the conservation of books and manuscripts. Lacey is also a certified framer.
While receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an art professor encouraged Lacey to enter the field of conservation. She went on to apprentice at the Scuola Lorenzo de’Medici in Florence, Italy, where she completed her certification in art conservation.
Lacey encourages her clients to tell her their artwork’s story. When she fully understands the history of the piece and its meaning to her client, she is ready to craft a plan of conservation that is appropriate for that piece and the context in which it will be experienced. Lacey’s clients come away feeling that she has helped them to restore not only their treasured item, but its history and meaning.

Brian’s success has helped him earn a coveted spot on Inc. Magazine’s 30 under 30, the US Leaders and Entrepreneurs 2010 Outstanding Leadership Award, and a slot on The Inc 500 (an annually published list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the United States) four years in a row.
